Farm Kids’ Dining Hall

We want children to learn the importance of food through hands-on experiences.
We want them to feel closer to the work of farmers.
With these thoughts in mind, we have been hosting the "Farm Children’s Cafeteria" since August 2024.

It’s not just about eating to satisfy hunger.
Children work alongside farmers, touching the soil, nature, and fresh vegetables, and enjoying plenty of freshly harvested produce…
Nourishing both their minds and bodies.

While feeling the seasons and appreciating the blessings of nature,
they move their bodies, work together, and help build the children’s cafeteria.

So far, we have held events such as:
- Harvesting summer vegetables / Nagashi-somen (flowing noodles) & pizza making
- Harvesting Tanba black soybeans / Edamame rice
- Harvesting taro / Sweet potato rice
- Cleaning Tanba black soybeans / Pork miso udon
- Tidying up the summer vegetable fields / Cream stew with plenty of winter vegetables
and more!

Students also participate as volunteers at the Farm Children’s Cafeteria.
We are currently recruiting student volunteers.
